About
At the heart of everything I offer is the idea of creating a bit more wholesomeness and nourishment in life — for the people I work with and for me too!
I came to this work through my own experience of discovering how powerful it can be to feel truly comfortable and accepted in yourself. As a sensitive person, I’ve always been drawn to spaces that offered a sense of safety, connection and freedom to simply be myself — particularly through movement, bodywork and self-care.
Over time, I found my way back to these things through practices such as yoga, dance, massage and hypnotherapy. I began to understand that it wasn’t only the practices themselves that supported my wellbeing, but the environment in which they took place — the teacher, therapist, community and sense of acceptance.
This has shaped the way I work today. As a massage therapist, yoga teacher and dance facilitator- mostly as a person-I’m passionate about creating uplifting, welcoming spaces where people can feel truly supported to reconnect with their bodies and let go of some of the pressures of everyday life.
I want my offerings to be somewhere people can come to feel cared for, without judgement or pressure to be a particular kind of person. Sometimes people need practical support for a sore back. Sometimes they need to properly switch off. Sometimes they need to breathe, move, cry, laugh or simply lie down for 50 minutes and do absolutely nothing. There's room for all of it.
'It doesn’t interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart’s longing.
It doesn’t interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love, for your dream, for the adventure of being alive.
It doesn’t interest me what planets are squaring your moon. I want to know if you have touched the centre of your own sorrow, if you have been opened by life’s betrayals or have become shrivelled and closed from fear of further pain.
I want to know if you can sit with pain, mine or your own, without moving to hide it, or fade it, or fix it.
I want to know if you can be with joy, mine or your own; if you can dance with wildness and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes without cautioning us to be careful, to be realistic, to remember the limitations of being human.
It doesn’t interest me if the story you are telling me is true. I want to know if you can disappoint another to be true to yourself. If you can bear the accusation of betrayal and not betray your own soul. If you can be faithless and therefore trustworthy.
I want to know if you can see Beauty even when it is not pretty every day. And if you can source your own life from its presence.'
